Tianjing Li, PhD, University of Colorado Denver, USA
Tianjing Li is a Professor of Ophthalmology and Epidemiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr. Li received her PhD in Epidemiology and MHS in Biostatistics, both from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The primary focus of Dr. Li’s research is to develop, evaluate, and disseminate efficient methods for comparing healthcare interventions and to provide trustworthy evidence for decision-making. She has garnered an international reputation as a leader in comparative effectiveness research (clinical trials, systematic review, network meta-analysis) and patient-centered outcomes research. Dr. Li holds several leadership roles within Cochrane, including serving as the Associate Director for Cochrane United States from 2012 to 2018, a Coordinating Editor for Cochrane Eyes and Vision, a co-convener for the Cochrane Comparing Multiple Interventions Methods Group, and a member of the Cochrane Methods Executive Committee. She was the recipient of the Anne Anderson Award in 2019, being recognized for my cumulative accomplishment, originality and independence of thought, leadership, and inspiration for women within Cochrane. Dr. Li is an elected fellow of the Society for Research Synthesis Methodology, served as the Society’s President between 2022-2023, and received the Society’s Inaugural Early Career Award in 2016.

Shaun Treweek, PhD, University of Aberdeen, UK
Shaun is Professor of Health Services Research in the Health Services Research Unit at the University of Aberdeen, UK.  Prof Treweek’s research interests are mainly in efficient trial design, particularly pragmatic trial design, improved recruitment and retention interventions for trials, the design of studies to generate trial process evidence and the effective presentation of research evidence.  He is leading an initiative called Trial Forge (www.trialforge.org) that aims to be more systematic about how we generate and use research evidence in making trial design, conduct, analysis and reporting decisions.
